Military Jacket || The New Fall Classic

Even though we're in the middle of spring/summer Fashion week I think it's time to take our thoughts back to Fall/Winter Fashion Week, and all the trends that will be huge this season. One, that I even mentioned here on MBT previously is the Uniform style, but not uniform as in wearing the same as everyone else or wearing camouflage coloured clothes, but
getting inspired by 18th-century militia wear from England & France.

But what actually separates these Jackets from conventional navy blue coats? It's the small but very important details, like golden buttons, epaulettes and for this season any sort of modern addition like anything sparkly or bows... Essential for these Jackets/Blazers is the mixture of either navy blue or black with red and yellow (gold).
It's also very easy to pair these coats, either with a classic dark denim and a Breton Shirt and on warmer or those in-between days just pair it with denim shorts or skirt and a simple blouse or Top.
As for shoes I would opt for a closed option like classic Ankle Boots, Sneakers and for an extra touch of feminity a pair of ballet flats.
So, is this going to be a short-lived trend or is there potential of a future classic? In my opinion this could easily become a "new" or reinvented must-have in every girls wardrobe, just think of how versatile it is, it's like a new navy blue sailor coat with a twist and it would be a great option to choose over the très worn out bomber jacket.
My personal favourites on Fall Fashion Week were from Isabel Marant & Givenchy but if you're looking for something more affordable I would (as always...) recommend you to check out the latest collection at Zara, it's packed with a wide range of different Military Jackets and Coats!
If you're looking for something VERY personal you could go to an antique/flea market and look for one there!
